CVE-2022-21817Network attack vector

Token theft via permissive cross-origin access

Published Feb 2, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Cross-origin resource sharing in NVIDIA Omniverse Launcher before 1.5.2 allows remote attackers to steal access tokens via a malicious site. The launcher's CORS handling exposes access tokens for resources in other security domains to an attacker-controlled page. The attack requires a user to browse the malicious site; the stolen tokens grant protected-resource access, enabling code execution or privilege escalation.
