CVE-2022-21808

Arbitrary command execution via malformed packet path traversal

Published Mar 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Relative path traversal in CAMS for HIS Server in Yokogawa CENTUM and Exaopc allows attackers to execute arbitrary commands. The server accepts a malformed packet with an unconstrained relative path, allowing arbitrary files to be read, created, or overwritten under the service account. The attacker must reach the adjacent network service and induce the required user interaction; exploitation grants the service account's permissions.
