Insufficient control-flow management in Intel Ethernet VMware drivers allows local users to interrupt the host service. Intel has not published the affected code path, trigger input, or incorrect control-flow operation in the ixgben and i40en drivers. Exploitation requires authenticated low-privileged local access to a VMware host running ixgben before 1.11.4.0 or i40en before 2.1.5.0, and the reported consequence is denial of service without confidentiality or integrity impact.
