Local information disclosure via unchecked CCCI bounds
Published Jul 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in MediaTek CCCI on Android 10.0 through 12.0 allows local users with System privileges to read memory via a missing bounds check. The CCCI driver performs an out-of-bounds read when processing an input whose length is not validated against the buffer. Exploitation requires local System-level execution privileges and no user interaction; impact is limited to disclosure of memory contents.
