Credential disclosure via cross-origin redirect headers
Published Feb 7, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Origin validation errors in RedirectAgent and BrowserLikeRedirectAgent in Twisted 11.1.0 through 21.7.0 allow remote attackers to read credentials. The redirect handler reuses the original request's Cookie, Cookie2, Authorization, Proxy-Authorization, and WWW-Authenticate headers after a scheme, host, or port change instead of removing them. Exploitation requires an application to follow an attacker-influenced cross-origin redirect with sensitive headers, exposing those header values to the destination.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
