Stored XSS via CSRF-unprotected settings update
Published Aug 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Crowd Favorite Progressive License 1.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to store malicious HTML. The settings handler accepts forged POST requests without a CSRF check and stores the acc_license[rdf] value as arbitrary HTML rendered on the front end. A logged-in administrator must load attacker-controlled content that submits the request; the stored payload then executes for site visitors.
