CVE-2022-21694Network attack vector

Loss of website hardening via fixed CSP

Published Jan 18, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

CSP hardening weakness in OnionShare 2.2 through 2.4 allows remote attackers to cause unspecified impact via hosted website content. Website mode applies one fixed, hardened Content Security Policy that blocks all scripts and external fonts, images, and other resources instead of permitting per-page directives. The weakness matters only when a site needs those resources and its operator disables the fixed policy; the upstream advisory describes no direct application exploit.
