CVE-2022-21667Network attack vector

Unauthenticated server crash via empty POST body

Published Jan 7, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Denial of service in Soketi before 0.24.1 allows remote attackers to crash the server by sending an empty POST request. In src/http-handler.ts, the POST body reader closes the response after empty input fails JSON parsing, while downstream handling still attempts to answer the closed request. Any unauthenticated client that can reach a POST endpoint can terminate the running server, interrupting its WebSocket service without affecting confidentiality or integrity.
