Published Jul 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Inappropriate Extensions API implementation in Google Chrome before 103.0.5060.53 allows attackers to bypass access controls. Google has not published the faulty Extensions API check or the access-control decision that it performs incorrectly on page input. Exploitation requires a user to install an attacker-supplied extension and then process a crafted HTML page, enabling the extension to cross an intended permission boundary.
