Denial of service in Oracle MySQL Server 8.0.29 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to hang or repeatedly crash the server. The flaw is in the Server Optimizer, but Oracle has not published the faulty optimizer operation or crafted query conditions that trigger it. Exploitation requires high database privileges over the MySQL protocol and affects availability only, without reported data disclosure or modification.
