Access control failure in Oracle BI Publisher allows remote authenticated users to read and modify report data through its Core Formatting API. Oracle identifies the affected locus only as the Core Formatting API and has not published the operation that mishandles untrusted input. Low-privilege HTTP access is required; successful exploitation exposes critical or complete accessible data, permits limited updates, insertion, or deletion, and can partially interrupt the service.
