Heap corruption via Base use-after-free
Published Jul 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in Google Chrome before 103.0.5060.53 allows remote attackers to trigger heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. Google identifies the affected locus only as the Base component and has not published the affected object or the code path that reuses it after its lifetime ends. The attacker must induce a user to open the crafted page; public sources establish no reliable consequence beyond heap corruption.
