CVE-2022-21497Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Data compromise via server-side request forgery

Published Apr 19, 2022 · Updated Sep 24, 2024

Server-side request forgery in Oracle Web Services Manager 12.2.1.3.0 and 12.2.1.4.0 allows remote attackers to read and alter data via HTTP. The getKeyInfoData function in oracle.security.xmlsec.keys.RetrievalMethod follows attacker-controlled resource references, causing server-side requests. Exploitation is unauthenticated but requires interaction by another person; the flaw alone affects data confidentiality and integrity.
