Authenticated database server crash or hang
Published Apr 19, 2022 · Updated Sep 24, 2024
Denial of service in Oracle MySQL Server InnoDB 5.7.37 and earlier and 8.0.28 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to crash or hang the server. Oracle has not published the faulty InnoDB operation or the input sequence that triggers the failure. Exploitation requires a high-privileged account, network access through a supported protocol, and high attack complexity; successful attacks interrupt database availability without reported data disclosure or modification.
