CSRF in Jquery Validation For Contact Form 7 before 5.3 allows remote attackers to change WordPress options through an administrator. The jvcf7 settings page accepts option-update POST data without validating a CSRF nonce, including users_can_register and default_role. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to submit a forged request, allowing registration to be enabled with Administrator as the default role.
