Optimizer flaw in Oracle MySQL Server 8.0.27 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter data or hang or crash the server. Oracle identifies the Server: Optimizer component but has not published the erroneous optimizer operation or triggering input. Exploitation requires network access through a supported protocol and a high-privileged account; impact is limited to some data changes and service interruption.
