CVE-2022-21282Network attack vector

Information disclosure via unchecked XSLT URI resolution

Published Jan 19, 2022 · Updated May 27, 2026

Improper URI restriction enforcement in Oracle Java SE JAXP allows remote attackers to read a subset of accessible data through XSLT. TransformerImpl resolves URIs during XSLT transformations without properly enforcing configured access restrictions, permitting restricted resources to be retrieved. Exposure requires untrusted code in a Java sandbox or an application, such as a web service, that passes attacker-controlled data to JAXP APIs.
