Browser script execution via unsanitized resmsg eval
Published May 12, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Cross-site scripting in info.jsp in InHand Networks InRouter302 3.5.4 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via an HTTP request. The page places the _resmsg query value into the resmsg variable and passes it to eval without neutralizing script content. The endpoint lacks access restrictions, but a victim must render the crafted response; script execution occurs in that browser session with access to router-origin data.
