Information disclosure via external entity resolution
Published Feb 9, 2022 · Updated May 5, 2025
XXE injection in DSP Builder Pro for Intel Quartus Prime Pro Edition before 21.3 allows remote attackers to disclose data via crafted XML. The DSP Builder XML parser accepts external entity declarations and resolves attacker-controlled resource references while processing design XML. No authentication is required, but Intel's assessment requires user interaction; exposure is limited to data readable by the affected process.
