Information disclosure via C5P buffer over-read
Published Apr 12, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Fuji Electric ALPHA5 before 4.3 allows remote attackers to disclose process memory through a crafted C5P file. The Server Operator module fails to validate C5P file data before reading past the end of an allocated buffer. A user must open the file or visit an attacker-controlled page; the disclosed memory can support a separate code-execution exploit.
