Unauthenticated file disclosure via template directive injection
Published Feb 8, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Directory traversal in TAGAWA Takao TransmitMail 2.5.0 through 2.6.1 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files. TransmitMail.php passes HTML-escaped form input through its template engine without neutralizing brace-delimited template directives, enabling injected include paths to escape the template directory. The request needs no authentication or user interaction; however, the coordinated JVN advisory assigns this directory-traversal behavior to CVE-2022-22146 rather than this identifier.
