CVE-2022-21182Network attack vector

Authenticated privilege escalation via unrestricted configuration import

Published May 12, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

Improper access control in InHand Networks InRouter302 3.5.4 allows remote authenticated users to gain privileges via HTTP. The upload.cgi API permits a non-privileged account to import a router configuration that replaces privileged-user credentials without enforcing the intended authorization boundary. A valid low-privileged account and network access to the management interface are required; successful exploitation grants control of a privileged account.
