Unauthenticated command execution via unescaped node serial
Published Aug 5, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
OS command injection in TCL LINKHUB Mesh Wi-Fi AC1200 MS1G_00_01.00_14 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via port 9003. The ucloud_add_node_new handler inserts the packet-controlled serialNumMd5 field into an echo command with sprintf and executes it through doSystemCmd without escaping. An attacker on the router's Wi-Fi network can reach the protobuf service without meaningful authentication and run shell commands on the appliance.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
