CVE-2022-21177

Arbitrary log overwrite via relative path traversal

Published Mar 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Relative path traversal in CAMS for HIS Log Server allows attackers to overwrite arbitrary log files by sending a malformed packet. Yokogawa states that malformed packets create or overwrite arbitrary log files with service privileges but does not identify the packet field or parsing routine. Exposure depends on CAMS components for older CENTUM and Exaopc releases; affected CENTUM VP R5 and R6 releases are exposed regardless of CAMS use.
