Stored XSS via unescaped keyword terms
Published Jul 17, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in WP Zinc Page Generator before 1.6.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through keyword settings. The Keywords Add Keyword form stores a crafted Terms value and renders it in a textarea without sanitizing or escaping embedded markup. Administrator privileges are required, but exploitation remains possible when WordPress denies unfiltered HTML; the script executes when an affected settings page is viewed.
