Arbitrary file overwrite in Cisco RoomOS allows local users with administrator access to replace device files through its CLI. The CLI follows a symbolic link placed at a specific filesystem location because file access controls do not prevent the link from redirecting a write. Administrator-level local access is required, and successful exploitation alters files but does not directly disclose data or interrupt the device.
