Authenticated reload via server-selected TLS parameters
Published Nov 10, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Denial of service in Cisco ASA and FTD Software allows remote authenticated users to reload affected devices through crafted TLS servers. The SSL/TLS client mishandles memory when processing server-selected encryption parameters during device-initiated connections. Exploitation requires credentials and control of or influence over a TLS server the device connects to; success causes an unexpected reload.
