Root command execution or restart via HTTP fields
Published Jul 21, 2022 · Updated Nov 6, 2024
Command injection and buffer overflow in Cisco RV110W/RV130/RV130W/RV215W routers allow remote authenticated users to run code or restart devices. The web interface insufficiently validates user fields in incoming HTTP packets before OS command handling or copying them into a buffer without checking size. Valid Administrator credentials and LAN access, or enabled WAN remote management, are required; exploitation yields root-level commands or an unexpected device restart.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
