CVE-2022-20863Network attack vector

Phishing via ambiguous character rendering

Published Sep 8, 2022 · Updated Nov 6, 2024

UI input interpretation in Cisco Webex Meetings before 42.7 allows remote attackers to spoof links through crafted messages. The messaging interface renders attacker-controlled characters ambiguously, allowing displayed links or other content to differ from its intended interpretation. A recipient must view the crafted message; the resulting display manipulation supports phishing or spoofing without reported data access or service interruption.
