Process reload via heap overflow in CDP messages

Heap buffer overflow in Cisco Discovery Protocol in affected Cisco IOS XR Software allows attackers to reload the protocol process. The implementation copies restricted attacker-controlled bytes from a crafted CDP message past a heap buffer boundary. Exploitation requires no authentication but does require CDP to be enabled and the attacker to share the device's Layer 2 broadcast domain; success reloads the CDP process rather than the device.
