Site authentication bypass via exposed OAuth client secret

Published Sep 5, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Authentication bypass in Dash10 Digital Simple Single Sign On 4.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to gain unauthorized site access. The plugin places its OAuth client_secret in the authorization redirect URL, allowing that value to be reused to request a client-credentials access token. No authentication is required, but the site must expose the SSO flow and accept tokens issued with the disclosed secret.
