CVE-2022-20822Network attack vector

Authenticated file read and deletion via path traversal

Published Oct 26, 2022 · Updated Oct 15, 2024

Path traversal in Cisco Identity Services Engine 3.1 and 3.2 allows remote authenticated users to list, download, and delete files. The web interface fails to validate certain character sequences in a crafted HTTP request, permitting traversal beyond the requesting administrator's authorized files. An authenticated administrator can read or delete specific files outside that account's configured administrative level.
