Root command execution via CLI path traversal
Published Sep 30, 2022 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Path traversal in the Cisco SD-WAN Software CLI allows local users to execute arbitrary commands as root via a malicious CLI command. The CLI improperly authorizes commands containing ../ path traversal sequences instead of confining their path access to the intended directory. An authenticated local CLI account is required; successful exploitation grants root command execution on the affected system.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
