Unauthenticated reboot via HCI Modbus TCP flooding

Denial of service in Hitachi Energy RTU500 Series CMU Firmware allows remote attackers to reboot a CMU through HCI Modbus TCP. The function lacks flood control, so a high rate of specially crafted messages causes an internal stack overflow and forces the device to restart. Exploitation requires HCI Modbus TCP to be enabled and configured, and the documented consequence is service interruption through reboot rather than data disclosure or modification.
