Unauthenticated management access via LDAP login checks
Published Jun 15, 2022 · Updated Nov 1, 2024
Authentication bypass in Cisco Secure Email Gateway allows remote attackers to access the web management interface without credentials. The external-authentication login path performs improper authentication checks on specific input when LDAP authentication is enabled. Exposure requires nondefault LDAP-based external authentication; successful exploitation grants web-management access and its administrative capabilities.
