Unauthenticated device reboot via malformed H.323 traffic
Published Apr 21, 2022 · Updated Nov 6, 2024
Improper input validation in Cisco RoomOS before January 2022 allows remote attackers to reboot devices through crafted H.323 traffic. The packet-processing path accepts malformed H.323 input without sufficient validation and triggers either a normal reboot or a reboot into maintenance mode. No authentication is required, but H.323 Mode must be enabled; the resulting reboot interrupts service, and maintenance mode prolongs the outage.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
