Denial of service in Cisco Firepower Threat Defense Software 7.0.0 allows unauthenticated remote attackers to interrupt service with a crafted file. The local malware analysis process insufficiently handles errors raised while inspecting the file and crashes instead of rejecting it safely. Exploitation requires a Malware and File policy with Local Malware Analysis enabled and can require manual recovery; cloud lookup and dynamic analysis continue.
