Sensitive information disclosure via insufficient History API authorization
Published Apr 15, 2022 · Updated Nov 6, 2024
Information disclosure in the History API of Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Manager allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive system data. The API performs insufficient authorization checks against the underlying operating system when processing crafted requests, exposing records beyond a lower-privileged account's permissions. A valid lower-privileged account is required; the reported consequence is unauthorized reading of sensitive information, not data modification or service interruption.
