Root command execution via low-privilege file injection

Privilege escalation in Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Manager allows local users with low-privileged accounts to execute commands as root. The CLI lets a low-privileged user inject commands into a file that a root process later executes when an administrator runs specific commands. Exploitation requires local authentication and administrator interaction, after which the injected commands run with root privileges.
