CVE-2022-2070Network attack vector

Remote code execution via unchecked sscanf input

Published Sep 23, 2022 · Updated May 22, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in Grandstream GDS3710 1.0.11.13 allows remote attackers to execute code through its management daemons. The dbmng and logsrv daemons pass an unchecked parameter to sscanf, allowing oversized input to overwrite the stack. Both daemons listen on ports 8000 and 8001 by default, and successful exploitation opens a remote shell with full system access.
