Denial of service in Cisco ClamAV 0.104.1 and 0.103.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash scanning with crafted OOXML. The OOXML parser insufficiently validates the document and performs an invalid pointer read while collecting JSON metadata. Exploitation requires a build compiled with libjson-c and the metadata-collection scan option enabled; a successful file scan terminates the scanning process.
