Administrator access via flawed password validation
Published Apr 15, 2022 · Updated Nov 6, 2024
Authentication bypass in Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) Software 8.10.151.0 and 8.10.162.0 allows remote attackers to log in as administrators. The management-interface password validation algorithm accepts crafted credentials when MAC-filter RADIUS compatibility is set to Other, bypassing normal authentication. The non-default configuration is required; successful access grants administrator-level control of the controller.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
