OS command injection in the web UI API in Cisco IOS XE Software allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The web UI API insufficiently validates crafted request input before passing it into commands for the underlying operating system. Exploitation requires authenticated high-privilege access and an enabled HTTP or HTTPS Server feature, and it grants root command execution.
