Database corruption via unchecked CDP message lengths

Memory corruption in Cisco ATA 190 Series firmware allows attackers to corrupt the CDP database via crafted Layer 2 packets. Missing length checks while processing Cisco Discovery Protocol messages cause an out-of-bounds read past valid packet data into the internal database. Exploitation requires no authentication but requires access to the same Layer 2 broadcast domain, and the documented consequence is database corruption.
