Browser script execution via insufficient input validation
Published Jan 14, 2022 · Updated Nov 6, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Cisco Security Manager before 4.24 allows remote attackers to execute script code through a crafted link. The web-based management interface fails to validate user-supplied input before incorporating it into a browser-rendered response. Exploitation requires a user to follow the link, after which the script runs in the interface context and can access sensitive browser-held information.
