CVE-2022-20637Network attack vector

Arbitrary script execution via unvalidated input

Published Jan 14, 2022 · Updated Nov 6, 2024

Cross-site scripting in Cisco Security Manager's web-based management interface allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via crafted links. The interface insufficiently validates user-supplied input, allowing injected script to run in the interface context and access browser-based information after a user clicks the link. The attacker is unauthenticated but requires remote reachability and user interaction; reported impact is script execution with confidentiality and integrity exposure, without a service outage.
