CVE-2022-20630

Credential disclosure via unsecured audit logging

Published Feb 10, 2022 · Updated Nov 6, 2024

Information disclosure in Cisco Catalyst Center allows authenticated local attackers to view sensitive data, including user credentials, in audit logs. The audit subsystem records sensitive information without adequate protection, and the administrative CLI exposes those records in clear text. Exploitation requires administrative privileges and local access to the Catalyst Center system; the documented consequence is confidentiality loss, not data modification or service interruption.
