CVE-2022-20624Network attack vector

Device reload via malformed CFSoIP packets

Published Feb 23, 2022 · Updated Nov 6, 2024

Denial of service in Cisco NX-OS Software with CFSoIP enabled allows remote attackers to reload an affected device with crafted packets. The CFSoIP packet-processing path insufficiently validates incoming packets, allowing malformed network input to trigger a device reload. Exposure requires CFSoIP to be enabled; it is off by default on affected Nexus 3000 and 9000 switches but on by default on affected UCS 6400 fabric interconnects.
