Remote memory disclosure via incorrect buffer bounds check
Published Dec 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 18, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in the Android kernel allows remote attackers to disclose memory through the cellular modem without authentication. SAECOMM_CopyBufferBytes in SAECOMM_Utility.c applies an incorrect bounds check before copying buffer bytes, permitting a read past the buffer boundary. No execution privileges or user interaction are required, and the published impact is limited to information disclosure.
