Integer overflow in sec_media_protect in Google Pixel Android kernel firmware allows local users to gain secure-mode MFC Core privileges. The media.c routine fails to prevent an integer overflow during media protection, but Google has not disclosed the triggering input or arithmetic operation. Exploitation requires local low-privileged execution, needs no user interaction, and can elevate code into the secure-mode MFC Core.
